Men's Style

Putting The Bar In Barber

For gentlemen, facial hair is the suit of the head and should be tailored accordingly.

We met up with JAM friend, Adam Sinclair (Lethal Weapon, Rizzoli and Isles) and spent the rest of the afternoon at Svelte Barbershop getting his hair and beard groomed with a genial shot of rum on the side, as part of the friendly service.

Svelte Barbershop + Essentials, marked by a requisite barber's pole, is hidden right off the beaten path from bustling Abbot Kinney next to the beach.

Once the hair and beard had been groomed, General Admission next door completed Adam's Venice look with their selection of well-edited, laid-back SoCal pieces. Housed in a historic space, General Admission is full of casual shirts, shorts, shoes, and accessories. After shopping, we grabbed a complimentary cold can of the local brew from their fridge and played a round of Pac-Man on an original standing arcade machine - nothing better!
