Food Mask Ingredients 3

Food for the Skin

a simple skin care recipe that really works

We love having tea with honey, papaya with a little lime juice, and an omelette with egg whites for any healthy meal, but how about mixing some of those same ingredients for a homemade product to put on your face instead that really brightens and tightens your skin? Papaya contains fruit enzymes that can gently exfoliate dull skin. See below for the easy how-to on making your own inexpensive, completely non-toxic face mask.

Food Mask Apply Mask

Brightening Mask

1/2 papaya mashed
1/2 teaspoon honey
1 egg white whipped

Mix the ingredients above in a small bowl and use a brush, spoon or your fingers to cover your face with a generous layer of the mixture. Let it sit for 10-20 minutes. Then wash off, see the glow and feel the hydration!

Side note
: We also love subbing papaya for other ingredients you might have in your fridge, egg white with avocado, olive oil for an even more moisturizing effect, milk or yogurt for softening, and plain grated cucumber straight from the fridge for cooling and soothing tired skin.
