We are not letting go of keeping certain routines which are still keep-able like our short but beneficial meditations every morning. We simply sit for 3-5 minutes, sometimes quiet, sometimes with noise, in whatever position comfortable, but we sit in awareness while following and paying attention to our natural breath. Kumbaya or not, this ritual sets the day for us grounded and allows us to begin with a little sense of mindfulness or building the ability to find deeper inner peace no matter the real turmoil surrounding us.
Nothing needed, no equipment, except ourselves.

Along with clearing some head space, we make sure to include working out the body whenever possible, not every day, but we aim for more days than not. Walking, running, biking, dancing, pilates, yoga, organized online cardio classes, live zoom circuit training with professionals or even just a handful of daily sit ups and push ups - all of it works to shake things up when many of us are stationary, isolating, working from home. Also, snacking from the food pantry and fridge a few extra times throughout the day...it feels good to figure out how to guide the body's digestion, metabolism in ways that are good for us, too.

Good old-fashioned bicycles for around the block and some fresh air

Rowing machines that easily store upright anywhere

Simple jump rope (or a stretchy exercise band) in lieu of machines
