Masks

skincare

We asked JAM beauty maven Christina Graci for a face mask to help take care of our skin under all the mask wearing we are doing lately. She came up with something so simple, straightforward and effective using pure ingredients found at the grocery store or in our kitchen already: avocado, honey, green tea. All three are super anti-inflammatory while the oils in avocados can deeply penetrate the skin to nourish, soften and hydrate, honey is anti-microbial and green tea can provide anti-oxidants to fight damage to the skin.

Avocado

Ingredients

1/4 avocado (peeled)
1/2 tsp honey
Spoon of green tea (concentrated)

Mash avocado with a fork. Add honey and use a little green tea to smooth into a paste. Spread thin layer to clean face and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with water.

Tip from Christina: We can also use this amazing mask on the back of our hands which could use some care from all the hand washing with harsh soaps and strong sanitizers!

Look for another of Christina's professions (a local, stellar candle-making business with her beau, Kenan Bell, called "Stay Fresh") - their latest scent is a best seller, Wild Lavender + Linen. You can order here: stayfreshbykenanbell.com
